The mandate of Community Recreation & Cultural Programs is to build an inclusive, vibrant, and creative city, unique in identity, and rich in culture. The Service provides strategic vision and innovative leadership in managing customer centric sports and recreation venues and programs, including the management of facilities and/or land for the delivery of indoor and outdoor recreation programs and services, and fosters an environment in which Ottawa's arts, heritage, festival and event sectors can evolve sustainably.
Under the guidance of a Program Coordinator, you assist with the maintenance and cleanliness of the change rooms, locker rooms, shower rooms, washrooms and pool area, to ensure the safety and enjoyment of patrons in an aquatic environment. You exercise good public relations, provide information to the general public concerning facility program schedules, and assist with program operation (e.g. assisting patrons to use the waterslide).
High School Student - Grade 10 minimum
Previous experience operating a cash register is preferred.
Current Standard First Aid, CPR-C, and AED certificates
Current National Lifeguard - Pool Option, Lifesaving Swim Instructor
