What we need:

Reporting to the Director of IMIT, this is a junior level position in the Information Technology department.

The role is specific to supporting the Helpdesk Department with information gathering to increase user satisfaction from survey creation to survey data analysis and reporting. The role will also assist in creating user education materials based on common incidents found within ticket management reports, and discussions within IT.

Work Schedule:

The successful candidate will work Monday – Friday days for 7 weeks. Please note schedule may change due to operational needs.

Compensation:

$14.25 per hour

What you bring to MSH:

  • Currently enrolled in a College diploma or University Degree
  • Ability to communicate verbally and written information in a clear, friendly, detailed and informative manner
  • Familiarity with MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc).
  • Strong interpersonal, analytical skills and the ability to multi-task
  • Demonstrated commitment to customer service and teamwork
  • Fluent in English, French is also a desired asset
  • Demonstrated excellent organizational skills with ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment
  • Excellent critical thinking skills with the ability to think independently to proactively anticipate needs
  • Must demonstrate high initiative and efficiency with accurate attention to detail
  • Qualifies for the Summer Job Program:
    • Between the ages of 15 and 30 years of age (inclusive) at the start of employment
    • Is a Canadian Citizen, permanent resident or person on whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act
    • Legally entitled to work according to the relevant provincial/territorial legislation and regulations.
  • Demonstrated good attendance and performance records with the ability to maintain these same standards
  • Demonstrates a commitment to a healthy and safe workplace for self and others (staff, patients, families, etc.) by taking all reasonable precautions and working in compliance with hospital related policies, health and safety legislation and best practices and completing relevant mandatory education as required
