Hourly Rate: $19.00 per hour

Location: RHF Office in Richmond, BC (hybrid or remote)

JOB SUMMARY

Reporting to the Manager, Government Relations (GR), the Research Assistant will conduct research and provide project and administrative support to the Manager, GR and other members of the GR team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Main duties, but not limited to the following:

  • Conducts research on Canadian and international governments and disability/accessibility organizations for projects, briefing notes, and newsletters;
  • Collaborates with team members on projects and contributes with creative and innovative ideas and suggestions;
  • Administrative duties such as entering data and updating information using MS Word, Excel, and Salesforce software; and
  • Performs other duties as assigned or provide additional assistance to the GR team.

PREFERENCES

  • Enrolled and/or completed at least one year of post-secondary education in public administration, political science, or international affairs;
  • Knowledge of federal, provincial, and territorial governments across Canada;
  • Ability to communicate in a professional manner both orally and written;
  • Ability to work independently. The position will be hybrid or remote depending on location in Canada;
  • High degree of professionalism and strict adherence to maintaining confidentiality and privacy;
  • MS Office, PowerPoint, and Excel experience an asset;
  • Salesforce experience an asset;
  • Strong technical skills with ability to maintain excellent attention to detail;
  • Proficient research skills and the ability to think outside the box; and
  • Excellent capacity to stay organized, prioritize and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.


An equivalent combination of education, experience and skills/behaviours will be considered.
