The Mountain Attractions Helper, under the direction of the Lift Operations Manager, will primarily be responsible for assisting in the construction of this summer’s new attractions, basic maintenance, and operation of Panorama’s lift systems.

For those wanting to stay for the full summer season this position will transition into a lift attendant position upon completion of the attraction build.

Essential Functions:

  • Painting and restoration of lift facilities
  • Operation of chairlifts during maintenance procedures
  • Adhere to established safe working procedures and always wear the proper safety equipment.
  • Inform supervisor of the need to order materials as required.
  • Perform daily maintenance and safety checks on all equipment and tools.
  • Load, unload, and identify building materials, machinery, and tools, and distribute them to the appropriate locations, according to project plans and supervisors’ Directions.
  • Maintain a clean working area free from dirt and debris between tasks and at end of day.
  • Perform various forms of labour to assist in the successful completion of projects from start to finish.
  • Maintain and operate company vehicles safely & efficiently.

  • Work in a manner that focuses on the safety of both guests and employees.

Experience/Requirements:

  • One season of lift operation minimum preferred
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Previous mechanical/electrical experience strongly recommended.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak in English. Eyesight must be 20/20 or corrected to 20/20 using corrective lenses.
  • Must be able to work at heights more than 20 feet using safety harness and fall protection equipment.
  • Lifting of heavy equipment and parts (50 lbs.) may be expected during routine maintenance.
  • Prepared and able to stand in a relatively stationary position for extended periods up to 8 hours to perform specific maintenance functions.
  • Elevated work platforms that limit movement during standard maintenance may be part of the work environment.
  • Be prepared and able to endure extended periods of equipment operation. Adverse weather should be expected.
  • Be prepared and able to work extended hours (10 plus hours/day) safely and in all adverse working conditions.
