Phys Ed Assistant (Summer Student
Position)
The Niagara Catholic District School Board
invites applications for the position of Phys Ed Assistant with our Continuing
Education Department Summer Learning Program.
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT:
-
Assist in the setup of
activities for the Physical Education Program
-
Assist the students in skill
development under the supervision of the classroom teacher
-
Programming: To assist in
develop of, and to lead and participate in all programs using equipment
and materials provided at the site. Delivering programming based on skill
level, and age of participants
-
Administration: Complete all
necessary paperwork accurately and in a timely manner
-
Safety: To be responsible for
the safety, supervision and security of all participants in your care at
all times following the Board Policies and Procedures

To participate with the
children in a positive and supportive manner
-
Demonstrate strong support and
commitment to serving all program participants
-
Develop and maintain an open,
constructive and professional relationship with program participants,
parents, teachers and Board
-
Assuming other duties as
assigned
WHAT YOU BRING:
-
Currently enrolled in
Post-Secondary Education. Concurrent Education program preferred
-
Experience with camp programs
considered an asset
-
Current Standard First Aid
& CPR “C” certification an asset
-
Clear Criminal Reference Check
for Vulnerable Sector
-
Students should be 18 or older
as per Niagara Catholic District School Board policy
-
Background in athletics,
understanding of rules, procedures and ensure safe practice in all
activities
-
Excellent communication in a
thorough, clear and timely manner and support information sharing and goal
achievement
-
Acknowledge and understand risk
management
-
Understand and commit to
promoting equal opportunity and support for all children regardless of ability
-
Demonstrate responsible
behavior at all times and maintain high ethical standards
-
Participate actively in a team
for organizational effectiveness. Create an atmosphere of trust amongst
all team members
HOURS:
July
6, 2026 – July 31, 2026; 8:00am to 2:30pm (6 hours/day for 20 days) *Program
offering is contingent upon sufficient enrolment
