About the role

JOB TITLE

Job Type: Summer Intern

Job Summary:

  • Support the coordination and delivery of Hackergal programs, events, and workshops across Canada. Specifically, in areas such as the Hackergal Ambassador Program, the National Hackathon Program, and our Outreach Strategy!
  • This role will have the ability to support the wind-down of the 2025/2026 school year, and planning and logistics for the 2026/2027 school year, including strategy, planning, outreach, communication with schools, and preparation.

General Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to educators and facilitators running Hackergal Clubs, including answering questions, sharing resources, and helping troubleshoot issues.
  • Attend, support and engage with the end-of-year Ambassador Program and/or Hackathon Program events and wrap-up.
  • Help support the recruitment and interviewing for the next Ambassador Program cohort. Have the ability to conduct interviews for new cohorts.
  • Support the Outreach strategy - including conducting research to understand community needs, making recommendations on potential connections,
  • May attend in-person events, and assist with pre- and post-event tasks such as attendance tracking, feedback collection, results compilation, and prize or swag distribution
  • Maintain program databases and internal trackers, ensuring accurate records of participants, facilitators, events, and community partners.
  • Contribute to drafting emails, informational materials, and communications related to programs, events, and outreach efforts.
  • Attend team meetings and collaborate across departments on program-related initiatives and timelines.
  • Support additional tasks such as scholarship administration, resource development, reporting, and impact measurement as needed.
  • Support various Hackergal projects!
