Hours: Full-Time (35hrs/week) Temporary (8 weeks)

What qualifications are we looking for?

The successful candidate will have the following:

Education/Certifications/Credentials/Professional Registration

· Have or are pursuing a Degree or Diploma in Graphic Design, Marketing, Web Design or equivalent

· Standard First Aid, CPR-Level C

· Evidence of a clear Police Information Check (with Vulnerable Secor Search if applicable) within the last six months

· Must have a valid driver?s license with a class 07 automobile insurance coverage business use (or pleasure with occasional business use) and a minimum of $2,000,000 in liability coverage if required

Canada Summer Jobs (CSJ) Grant Criteria

· Between 15 and 30 years (inclusive) at the start of employment

· Canadian Citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the _Immigration and Refugee Protection Act_ (NOTE: International students are not eligible for the CSJ program)

· Have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment

· Legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations

Knowledge & Skills

· Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, and Canva required

· Proficiency in Meta Business Suite, Google Ads, Twitter Advertising required

· Office experience preferred

· Photography and editing skills an asset

· Video Editing Skills is an asset

· Time management and organizational skills

· Ability to work effectively, efficiently, independently, and under pressure

· Strong writing, grammar, and spelling skills preferred

What does this role look like at the YMCA of Southeastern Alberta?

Reporting to the Manager of Communications and Marketing the Social Media Coordinator responsible for managing our brand?s online presence, including but not limited to, researching audience preferences, creating engaging content, measuring web traffic, and facilitating online conversations.
