The Fundraising and Communications team secures critical resources such as financial support, volunteer
assistance, and donated goods to facilitate the functioning of programs and services across Fred Victor, and shares
the stories of our work, achievements, and journey both within and outside the organization. We solicit
contributions from more than 3,000 active donors, employing a variety of strategies including marketing campaigns,
fundraising events, and personal appeals to philanthropic supporters. In addition to facilitating internal information
flow between staff and departments, we also convey Fred Victor’s mission and impact to donors, stakeholders, and
the public. Each day, our team ensures that the essential supports offered by Fred Victor are available for those
experiencing homelessness.

What You Will Do:
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Donor Services and working collaboratively with other members of the Fred
Victor Fundraising Team, the Development Assistant will help with donor relations, gift and donor data entry,
information storage, and data clean-up. The Development Assistant will also provide support for fundraising,
community, and volunteer events which require working outdoors until 8pm on Wednesdays in July and August.
Responsibilities:

Update donor data accurately and in accordance with data clean-up projects

Assist with gift-in-kind intake and distribution

Provide administrative support to the VP Fundraising & Communications and Fundraising Managers

Provide excellent donor service; answer donor and stakeholder inquiries

Assist with digitizing department records

Provide event support at Taste of Regent Park every Wednesday in July and August

Monitoring sector to select relevant updates and format them for our SharePoint intranet page

Other duties as required
What You Bring to the Team:
- Experience working in a non-profit environment
- Knowledge of Raiser’s Edge is an asset
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft 365 apps (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams)
- Experience converting hard-copy documents and organizing them in SharePoint securely
- Experience working with online fundraising platforms (i.e., Canada Helps, Benevity, etc.)

Compensation and Benefits:
- For the Development Assistant, Fred Victor offers an hourly rate between $22.21- $24.52
- 7% Vacation Pay
