We are seeking a skilled 2nd Cook to support daily kitchen operations, food preparation, and buffet/banquet service. This role focuses on quality execution, food safety, and efficient service in a fast paced, member focused environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare menu items according to standardized recipes and chef direction
• Maintain full mise en place and support timely food service
• Assist with buffet, banquet, and food station setup, service, and breakdown
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and Toronto Public Health standards
• Clean and maintain workstations, equipment, and refrigerators
• Receive, store, label, and rotate food and supplies properly
• Communicate inventory needs and kitchen issues to Chef/Sous Chef
• Assist with training junior staff and directing dishwashers as needed

Requirements

• 2–3 years cooking experience in a comparable F&B operation
• Post secondary culinary training required
• High School Diploma required
• Valid Safe Food Handler certification
• Strong English communication skills
• Works well under pressure in a fast paced environment
• Physically capable (lifting up to 50 lbs, working in hot environments)
• Available for nights, weekends, and holidays

Vacancy: One (1) Vacancy; This is for the seasonal surge from May to October.

Compensation: The expected compensation range for this role is $22.00 to $24.00 per hour. Placement within the range will be based on demonstrated skills, relevant experience, and internal equity considerations.
