About the role
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Receiver to support inventory and warehouse operations at our York location. This role is responsible for receiving, verifying, and organizing incoming inventory while maintaining accurate records and a clean storage
environment.
This is a hands-on, physically active role that requires working in a fast-paced environment, including cold storage areas. The ideal candidate is organized, safety conscious, and comfortable handling heavy loads and using basic technology for inventory
tracking.
This is a temporary, on-site position running from June 4 – June 19, 2026, with a pay rate of $20/hour. Typical shifts are from 6:30 AM to 4:30 PM, though hours may vary.
Responsibilities:
- Receive incoming inventory, check delivery slips, and verify shipments for accuracy and quality against supporting documentation.
- Unpack merchandise and inspect items to ensure they meet company standards; accept or return goods according to procedures.
- Organize and store inventory efficiently, placing stock in designated areas and maintaining orderly storage systems.
- Prepare and complete all required receiving and inventory documentation accurately using provided systems or tablets.
- Participate in inventory counts and daily inventory checks to ensure accurate stock levels.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized storage area, including fridges and freezers.
- Perform minor hardware repairs such as fixing cartwheels and maintaining basic equipment functionality.

Qualifications :
- Previous experience in receiving, warehouse, or inventory roles is an asset
- Ability to lift and move heavy loads up to 60 lbs throughout the day
- Comfortable working in cold environments such as refrigerators and freezers
- Ability to safely use ladders and work on raised platforms
- Basic familiarity with using tablets or digital systems for inventory tracking
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Forklift License is an asset
