Responsibilities

Provide support to residents and/or families (supports and understands needs of people in transition).
Complete administrative tasks such as requests for internal funds and government funding request to Continuing Care.
Assist with data entry within department
Accompany residents who require assistance for appointments
Provide practical assistance to residents such as shopping for personal items.
Provide support in the office with reception, answering phone calls and day to day office functions.
Assist with the orientation of new residents and their family/friend caregivers.

Qualifications

Enrollment in, or recent completion of, post secondary education, with a preference for Social work training or Office Administration training
Familiarity with the Long - Term Care placement process is an asset.
Relevant experience in mental health geriatrics, dementia care, palliative care is recommended.
Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills are required.
Knowledge or experience with a person-centered model of care is an asset.
Experience with Point Click Care and Pathways computer programs is an asset.
Demonstrated ability to attend work on a regular and consistent basis is required
