Art Director

Position Overview We're seeking a highly conceptual Art Director to lead the development and execution of visual identity systems for our nonprofit client's major Spring and Fall events. This role blends creative direction, hands-on design, and system thinking to deliver cohesive, scalable branding across a high volume of assets. Key Details Status: Freelance, part-time, seasonal Timeline: 15-20 hours/week from August-October 2026, then again from March-May 2026 Location: Fully Remote Rate: $65 per hour, t4 Requirements: Your own computer & creative design licenses (equipment will not be provided) Key Responsibilities Lead the development of distinct creative concepts and translate them into scalable visual identity systems Design and oversee execution of multi-channel event assets (signage, presentations, digital, collateral) Establish templates and design frameworks to ensure consistency across ~80 deliverables Provide art direction and quality control across all assets, including work produced by supporting designers Present concepts, manage feedback, and collaborate closely with stakeholders and project teams Qualifications 6+ years of experience in graphic design, branding, or experiential/event design Strong portfolio demonstrating visual identity systems and multi-channel campaigns Proven ability to balance conceptual thinking with hands-on execution Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite; strong understanding of print, environmental, and digital design Experience working in fast-paced, high-volume environments with multiple stakeholders In this position, you may have access to client or customer systems, confidential and/or proprietary information or data.
