The lifeguard and swim instructor will ensure the safety of pool patrons and teach swimming skills to children. They are expected to engage and motivate members while building positive relationships within the community.

Candidates must be at least 16 years old and hold current Standard First Aid and CPR C certifications. Additional requirements include obtaining YMCA Swim Instructor certification and passing a police record check.
