Responsibilities:

You will be working on aircraft development programs at Honeywell. You will be working with a team of Control Systems Engineers on a variety of facets of the program including implementing test setups, test development, result analysis and the Software Requirements Specification which defines the control of every item in the Honeywell designed Environmental Control System. In addition, you will have the opportunity to support Honeywell's continuous effort to improves how Systems Engineers at Honeywell execute design.

Duration: 4 months (Summer 2024)

As a member of a Control Systems Design team, provide Control Systems input by performing the following duties:

  • Scripting of tools and process automation
  • Design closed loop control laws
  • Develop system simulation models of thermal mechanical systems (Matlab/Simulink)
  • Develop tools for automation of Simulink / data analysis
  • Develop system, software and hardware requirements, and improve tooling/processes

The Honeywell building is a controlled goods program environment. Candidates must be eligible for CGP clearance.

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Completing studies in Aerospace, Mechatronics, Process, Chemical, Systems Design, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering

WE VALUE

  • Knowledge of control theories and mechanical thermal systems
  • Experience in MATLAB, Simulink, C, Python, Javascript, Excel data analysis automation
  • Some experience in an aerospace environment a definite asset
  • Knowledge of systems requirements analysis and control design methodologies is an asset
  • Ability to demonstrate strong performance in a team environment to meet task schedule for assigned program.
  • Adaptability to a variety of assignments
  • Ability to proactively identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.
  • Ability to act as a team member, and contribute to team efforts in meeting program goals.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to manage and organize assigned tasks.
