We are looking for an Administrative Assistant to join our team working at our at our branch office in Marystown, NL!

To provide assistance and support to teams by providing excellent customer service for all external and internal customers. May include back-up reception and mail service duties as well as administrative duties of filing, documenting, ordering.

What you will be doing:

  • Assist team by with preparation and/or analysis of reports, accessing data within EPIC and gathering information from company portals.
  • Supporting other administrative duties as required and assigned
  • Provide and coordinate administrative support for efficient operations of the group (mail, stationery, telephones, computer equipment, purchasing, upkeep/maintenance, budget, expense reports, invoices, provision of resource information, travel and hotel reservations).
  • Administer and handle correspondence and follow up as required, with consideration to priorities and timelines.
  • Preparing documentation for insurers, completing applications for clients, issuing insurance certificates, processing changes, and reviewing renewals
  • Keeping current on underwriting rules and workflow processes
  • Actively participate in training initiatives

What you bring to the table:

  • High School Diploma and or Post-Secondary Education
  • Underwriting knowledge/ Insurance knowledge an asset
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail
  • Conscientious and able to maintain confidentiality
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Customer service focused
  • Works well under pressure
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check and credit check preferred
