This position would be an early morning split shift, beginning your day in the kitchen assisting with food preparation and dishes, moving in to housekeeping and laundry and finishing the your shift on the docks.

This position is available at Nootka Sound Resort.

Requirements:

  • Good communication skills.
  • Dedication to the guest experience and resort cleanliness.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities.

Position Responsibilities (include but not limited to):

  • Support morning banquet chef with final preparation of hot and continental breakfast.
  • Maintain kitchen work areas, equipment, or utensils in clean and orderly condition.
  • Clean food preparation areas, facilities, or equipment.
  • Wash and put away dishes in an organized and efficient manner.
  • Stock supplies, such as food or utensils, in serving stations, cupboards, refrigerators, or salad bars.
  • Attend to resort laundry rooms, ensuring fresh linens are stocked for housekeeping staff.
  • Dock boats as they arrive.
  • Greet guests upon arrival and assist with luggage.
  • Keep docks clean, tidy and free of hazards.
  • Keep all areas of the lodge clean, tidy and free of hazards.
  • Perform emergency duties as required within the scope of your training.
  • Participate in crew safety meetings.
  • Adhere to health & safety standards.
  • Ensure safety and confidentiality of our owners, guests and employees.
