Hotel Porter - (Summer) - Part time

We are looking to fill the position of Hotel Porter at Fernie Alpine Resort starting from the 16th of June. The primary role of this position is to assist guests with their luggage, provide directions and recommendations for local attractions, and handle any other guest inquiries.

You Will:

• Ensure a comfortable and friendly atmosphere for both guests and staff
• Assist guests with their luggage, including delivering luggage to their rooms, retrieving luggage upon check-out, and storing luggage as needed
• Provide directions and recommendations for local attractions, restaurants, and other amenities to guests
• Respond promptly to guest inquiries and requests, including providing additional amenities or supplies as needed
• Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with guests, colleagues, and management
• Know and abide by RCR policies, Employee Handbook guidelines and Safety Management Program
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

You Have:

• Prior experience in a similar role preferred
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Attention to detail and the ability to maintain a high standard of cleanliness and appearance
• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Competitive wage: $18.00-$19.00/hour, dependent on experience
