We currently have an opportunity for a Summer Student - Richardson Farms at our Richardson Kelburn Farm. Our Richardson Farm is a 700-acre Crop Development Center and demonstration farm that is dedicated to practical research and demonstration projects related to emerging agricultural technology with the areas of focus being agronomy, disease management, fertility, soil & water management, crop protection and seed varieties. Responsibilities: Field management (seeding, spraying, harvesting) Data collection and record keeping Equipment maintenance Coordinating and conducting tours Public relations General farm duties Qualifications: Ambitious, organized and detail oriented Ability to operate field equipment is required Strong communication, interpersonal and oral communication skills Students or graduates of an Agriculture Degree or Diploma Program would be considered an asset An agriculture background is preferred Richardson International provides an excellent compensation package consisting of competitive salary and training and career development opportunities.
