Summer Student - Receptionist
About the role
SUMMARY
The KO Receptionist serves the member First Nations by providing administrative support to the staff and management of the KO offices.
DUTIES
- Provides reception, clerical, and administrative services.
- Provides reception function for the office by greeting guests in a friendly professional manner, answering phones, and inquiries as necessary.
- Provides general office support such as word processing, photocopying, and processing incoming and outgoing mail and faxes.
- Coordinates arrangements for KO meetings and events.
- Prepares and manages, correspondence, reports, and documents.
- Orders office and cleaning supplies for KO offices and receives packages and delivers to airport or post office as necessary.
- K-Mobile management – handling cash and inventory, loading SIM cards and/or vouchers, processing payments.
- Manage and submit on the Finance forms portal, such as travel and purchasing.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Age Requirement: Youth must be 15 years of age at the beginning of the employment period and can be up to 30 years old at the end of the employment period, provided they were 30 at the start.

Must be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or be granted refugee protection in Canada. As per Canada Summer Jobs funding guidelines.

Must possess a valid Social Insurance Number.

Ability to speak/write Cree, Oji-Cree or Ojibway is a very strong asset along with a demonstrated competence in written and oral English.

Knowledge of the culture and traditions of the First Nation communities Keewaytinook Okimakanak serves is an asset.
The hourly wage for this position is $17.60.
