The City of Grande Prairie provides programs, services, infrastructure and facilities that are the basis for much of the activity in our community. Grande Prairie is the youngest city in Canada with a median age of 30.3 and one of the fastest growing communities in North America. The 2016 federal census recorded 63,166 residents up 13.5% from 2011. Whether it is parents pushing a stroller, children filling the Eastlink Centre or families biking one of the many trails, there are signs of youth everywhere you turn.
